Book-Making Session

A fun craft activity for kids aged 5+ to make their very own book, using supplies easily found at home!

Join Sally Symes, co-author and designer of Britannica’s 5-Minute Really True Stories for Bedtime, who will be showing you how to make your own book at home. This is a fun and creative craft activity which all the family can enjoy together using supplies easily found at home. The session will deepen children’s engagement with the book as well as inspire their imaginations and creativity.

The event will be hosted on Zoom, so participants will need access to a computer, tablet or smartphone to join in. The design sheets Sally has created for the session will also be available here to print out from Monday 8th February 2021.

What you will need:

  • paper
  • colouring pencils or pens
  • Sellotape or glue to hand.

Participants will be offered the exclusive opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book from each online bookshop.

The event is for ages 5+ and will last 45-60 minutes.
