I’m a freelance journalist and author, specialising in deeply-reported features and multimedia storytelling. My personal interests include animals, the ocean, environmental crime, the brain, and mind – however, I cover stories across science, the environment, health, and technology.

Before going freelance in September 2021, I worked for Wired magazine in London and the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, where I wrote articles and produced videos.

My articles have also appeared in National Geographic, New Statesman, and Republik, among other magazines. I have lived in Mozambique and also reported stories from Madagascar and Sri Lanka. I write in English and German and am fluent in French. Interview skills in Portuguese and Spanish.
