Jackson is chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and director of the Food Studies program at Spelman College. Jackson has been recognised as a Governor’s Teaching Fellow, and awarded the Spelman Presidential Awards for Excellence in Research, Teaching, and Mentoring.
