This month, on October 13th, What on Earth Books’ new reference imprint, Britannica Books, launches with two exciting new titles, Britannica All New Kids’ Encyclopedia: What We Know & What We Don’t  and 5 Minute Really True Stories for Bedtime.

The Britannica All New Kids’ Encyclopedia, edited by the renowned writer, historian and lecturer, Christopher Lloyd, has been developed in collaboration with the team at Britannica Encyclopaedia, one of the world’s most trusted sources of knowledge. It is the most up-to-date encyclopedia for kids on the market. The book’s release marks Encyclopaedia Britannica’s highly anticipated return to print publishing through Britannica Books and provides kids with a veritable feast of facts, covering more than 170 topics verified by over 100 experts in their fields. The book’s chapters cover the Universe, Earth, Matter, Life, Humans, Ancient & Medieval Times, Modern Times and Today & Tomorrow and includes information on everything, from the stars and planets, to climate change, and even AI. Described by the acclaimed author, Anthony Horowitz as, “A book of wonders and a wonderful book” and summed up as ‘a triumph of nonfiction publishing for children which sets a gold standard’ by Exploring Children’s Literature, the encyclopedia is as eye-catching as it is informative. The book features over 1,000 vivid photographs and illustrations which will captivate curious children. Significantly, the encyclopedia not only covers what we do know about the world but also highlights what we don’t, aiming to inspire young minds who may go on to solve these mysteries. Special features include segments outlining intriguing facts called ‘FACTastic’, ‘Listified!’ ‘Known Unknowns’ and ‘Game Changers’, and each chapter concludes with a fun quiz.

The Britannica All New Kids’ Encyclopedia is available to preorder now.
