Scientists Making a Difference school kit

Kits will be sent out from w/c 28 September 2026:

In September 2026, all state-funded secondary schools in the UK received a science resource kit, worth £150. Designed for teachers and pupils aged 12–16, the pack aims to inspire young people to explore pathways into science careers and discover a wide range of career profiles. This will support you in working towards achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Careers Guidance.

The kit includes:

• Two copies of Scientists Making a Difference – this new book includes profiles of 47 inspirational scientists.
• A teachers’ guide aligned to KS3 and KS4 with 58 learning activities and ready-to-use lesson plans. You can download this now from our website.
• A four-metre-long science timeline poster for eye-catching classroom or corridor displays.
• Twelve inspirational posters covering topics from AI to animal conservation.

There is also dedicated online support including downloadable worksheets, video interviews with the scientists from the book and free CPD provided by the Association for Science Education.
