Magna Carta and The Hay Festival

Join Christopher Lloyd at the Hay Festival for an epic ride through eight centuries in the fight for freedoms and liberties, from the sealing of Magna Carta by King John in 1215, to the present day. Using a giant eight-metre-long timeline, Christopher will stop off at 10 key moments in the last 800 years, showing how today’s ideas of freedom and liberty have emerged through time.

Double, double toil and trouble at Gamlingay

We visited Gamlingay last week to give a talk to the Cambridgeshire Home Education Group on Magna Carta, Shakespeare and History. We had a wonderful time with help from our lovely audience:

A fantastic ‘Bad King John’. Lavinia and Manilla who read us a lovely sonnet from Macbeth. Katie was a wonderful witch. Harrison (Macbeth) and Manilla (Lady Macbeth). Libby and Jan (two flowers). Sevenoaks Literary Festival – Schools Talk

SEVENOAKS-BASED author Christopher Lloyd will be giving at talk at Lady Boswell’s School, Sevenoaks at 10 am on October 4th as part of the Sevenoaks Literary Festival celebrations. He will come to the school equipped with a MASSIVE 8m long, 2m high edition of his new wallbook published in collaboration with The Natural History Museum.
