Read All About It!
November 27, 2020THE DAILY MAIL newspaper is offering all its readers the chance to download a FREE audio copy of all 30 of Britannica’s 5 Minute Really True Stories for Bedtime, narrated by national treasure Joanna Lumley.
Starting in tomorrow’s paper (Saturday 28th November, 2020) readers can download 6 stories every day over the next 5 days, until all 30 are available free of charge. To co-incide with the promotion, The Daily Mail will also be publishing a series of special four-page supplements serialising key moments from both recently launched Britannica Books – that’s 5 Minute Really True Stories for Bedtime and the Britannica All New Children’s Encyclopedia: What We Know and What We Don’t. The supplements, beginning on Monday 30th November, will focus on a different theme each day, starting with Universe, then Natural World, Humans and finishing with Modern World.
Joanna Lumley will be introducing this special offer herself in the newspaper, alongside a special 100 question Britannica Books Christmas Quiz: “Stories about the real world are so often far more fascinating that an anything you can make up,” she said. “The Britannica All New Encyclopedia for Children, and the 5 Minute Really True Bedtime Stories draw on hundreds of years of experience in the art of telling true stories, which began with the first Encyclopedia Britannica, published more than 250 years ago in 1768.”
Christopher Lloyd, CEO of What on Earth Publishing, said: “In these 30 stories, Joanna’s wonderful voice and personality calms, soothes and fills the minds of younger people with wonder and awe about the world of night-time. And it’s not just younger people who will love them, as Joanna herself said, she has learned all kinds of things that she didn’t know, too!”
